Frequently asked questions

Repair time, price and suitability always depend on the specific vehicle and damage. These answers explain the basics.

What is paintless dent repair?

Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a method of removing dents by working the metal back into shape from behind the panel with specialized tools and reflection lighting. When the damage is suitable, there is no sanding, body filler or repainting, so the original factory finish stays in place.

What types of dents can PDR repair?

PDR works well on door dings, shopping cart dents, many creases, body line dents and hail damage, as long as the paint is not cracked or chipped and the metal is not overly stretched. The size, depth and location of the dent all affect whether PDR is the right repair.

Can PDR preserve my vehicle's original factory paint?

Yes, that is the main advantage of PDR when the damage is suitable. Because nothing is sanded or repainted, the factory finish stays intact. If the paint is already cracked, chipped or previously repainted, we will tell you before starting, since that can change the options.

How long does a typical repair take?

It depends on the vehicle and the damage. A single small ding can often be done in one short visit, while large dents, body line work, aluminum panels and hail damage take longer. We give you a time estimate after seeing photos of the damage.

Can large or complex dents be repaired?

Many large dents and creases can be repaired with PDR when the paint is intact and the metal is not severely stretched. Some damage is only partly suitable for PDR or needs conventional bodywork. We assess it honestly and will not promise a result before inspecting the dent.

Can hail damage be repaired using PDR?

In many cases, yes. Hail dents are usually round and the paint often survives, which makes PDR the preferred method for a lot of hail repairs. The number, size and location of the dents determine the time and cost, so photos of every affected panel help.

Do you offer mobile dent repair?

Yes. We serve Savannah, Pooler, Hilton Head Island and nearby areas with mobile service at your home or workplace. We need a safe, level spot to work, and on very hot or rainy days a garage or covered area helps.

How much does paintless dent repair cost?

Pricing depends on the size, depth and location of the dent, the panel material (steel or aluminum), whether parts need to be removed for access, and how many dents there are. Send photos through the estimate form for a free, personalized estimate.

How do I request a free estimate?

Use the free estimate form to send your vehicle details, a short description and photos of the damage. You can also call or text. We will review the photos and get back to you with an honest assessment.

What photos should I submit for an accurate estimate?

Send three to five clear photos: one from a few feet back showing the whole panel, one close-up straight on, and one or two at a low angle so the reflection shows the shape of the dent. Daylight or shade works best. Avoid using the flash, and include a photo of anything nearby like a body line or door edge.
